GA tax

I used the turbo tax premium but was also charged for the state turbo tax. Is there a reason why they do that? After counting my state taxes, I don't owe anything and am not expecting a refund. Yet they still charged me for it. I had to pay back federal tax, but they didn't charge me anything extra to process the federal tax. So why do they charge you to process state taxes?

GA tax

When you use online TurboTax software you pay separate fees for federal and state return preparation.  Those fees are not based on the amount --or whether -- you are getting a refund.  They are for using the software.
