Form 8949, Part II

TurboTax automatically generates Form 8949 when you enter the sales or exchanges of capital assets (i.e., items used for personal or investment purposes, such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, collectibles, etc.).

For example, when you enter a Form 1099-B to report the sale of stock or a Form 1099-S to report the sale of a vacation home, TurboTax will generate Form 8949.
