I've tried a number of suggestions in the Community Forum to try and resolve the one problem that keeps me from submitting my tax return. SCHEDULE 8812: I selected edit for "No I don't have Children or Financially Support another person" but the program WILL NOT save the change from "Yes" to "No, I don't". When will this bug be fixed? If you can't fix this bug I can't submit my return and if that is the case, I want a refund of the money I paid for your program. There is no form in the form section that corresponds to this problem on my return so there is no way to delete the form if doesn't even appear in the left menu of the return.

Everyone has to answer whether they received advance child tax credit payments. If you did not receive any of those payments between July and December you need to answer that you did not receive any payments.
There are so many scenarios with those payments---like divorced/never married parents who have issues over who received the payments, who claimed the children, etc. --- the software has no way of knowing if any of that involves you---so you have to answer the questions about it.
Please follow these steps to indicate you did not receive any advanced payments:
I understand the topic, however when I selected "No, I do not" to the question "Do I have children or financially support another person", as soon as I leave that page it automatically switches to "Yes, I do have children or financially support another person". How do I fix something that is out of my control, which I believe is a software glitch? I reviewed many comments related to 8812 and I tried most of them but none of the suggestions addressed the fact that when I leave that page of the tax return, it defaults back to "YES . . ." I might add that I reviewed the Personal Information section and made sure I had entered "0" Dependents. I also clicked the Edit where it asked for Dependents and entered "0". That didn't help either, I still showed as "Yes, I do have . . . ". I even went to the Forms page for my Return, to delete Schedule 8812, there was no Schedule 8812 listed on my Return.
@FixtheBug - Sounds like you have tried everything and you may be in a vicious loop. Try clearing your history and Cache' then reboot. This may eliminate the problem.

This seems to have worked even though, by selecting "no" it asks further questions suggesting you could be eligible! (I tried to back out and it wouldn't let me.) I don't have children and wasn't trying to get the credit, but still had to had to answer the questions to get to: "You're not eligible!" (Funny, that's what I've been trying to tell you. Turbo Tax, you should fix this glitch.)
