Form 8283 for 2025 Tax Year - 2026 Filing

Good morning,

Every year it is the same thing. My taxes are all ready but I cannot file due to form 8283. I have items mixed not all the same and TT is not allowing me to completed due to my Goodwill donations which were several due to clearing stuff from my home.  I see some say the January 28th update will resolve this for Desktop (non-business). Why do I have to go through this every single year with TT.

The federal and states begin with the most common forms to have ready and work their way through. I have been doing taxes over 30 years and the 8283 is more commonly used in March so the IRS has it on the backburner. TurboTax waits until the forms are officially ready and incorporated.

Please check forms availability  here. Select online, Windows, or Macintosh from the drop down menu.

The update is only available for the ONLINE version. There is no mention of the form on the Desktop Windows Platform. Therefore, this does not answer the question. I just checked at 12 Noon EST today and nothing is available.
