Form 5695 Heat Pump Water Heater

I installed a heat pump water heater in 2025.   When I enter in the information for the cost of the HPWH into turbotax, the 30% credit is not added to the form.  If I enter the amount paid as a heat pump, it works fine.   Anyone else having problem getting the credit for a Heat Pump water heater?

Yes, I noticed that too; however, the update yesterday corrected it.  When I went back to look at the 5695 later, line 29a and the credit were calculating correctly.

Heat pumps costs both show on Form 5695, Line 29a and heat pump hot water heaters on Line 29c.  In my test return, both costs are figured into the calculation for the Home Energy Credit.

MarilynG1, I just read your reply to me.  If you look at the screenshot you sent me, you will see that TurboTax did the calculation wrong, and this is the trouble I have been having.   The amount in line 29g of your example was $3333.   That should be multiplied by 30% to get the amount for line 29h, which should be 999.   But the form only shows $667 in line 29h, because it did not include the amount of the Heat Pump Water Heater in line 29C, which was $1111.   Looks like the calculation here is not including the Heat Pump Water Heater.  Can you explain this?
