The Form 4562 is generated when you input any depreciable assets. The depreciable assets can include vehicles, intellectual property, buildings, farm equipment, etc. So if you input business, rental, farm or job related expenses, the software will ask you about assets and apply depreciation from there. More details here https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899896-what-is-form-4562

If none of that applies to you, you can delete the form by following the steps here below:

  • Log into your account and get inside your return (by clicking orange Take me to my return button)
  • Click My Account in top right and choose Tools
  • Select Delete a form from there
  • On next screen, scroll down to find Form 4562 Depreciation Options and click Delete next to that form (if you do not need it)

NOTE: See screenshots below for what you should see on each screen.
