Form 1310 - Can I file Form 1310 for multiple years

I am about to e-file returns for 2021, 2022 and 2023 for a deceased person, who passed away in 2023.

There’s a refund due back for all 3 years.

Is it possible to attach Form 1310 to each return for 3 consecutive years to request the refund be paid to the Court assigned representative? I am unsure if Form 1310 can be attached to the final return only.

The decedent did not previously file for 2021 and 2022, due to illness.

The tax year is largely irrelevant if you're filing a return claiming a refund on behalf of s deceased taxpayer for those tax years.

You can attach a 1310 to each return for which you are claiming a refund on behalf of a deceased taxpayer.
