What is the easiest to understand reference to figure out the answers to questions about tax on foreign investments that were managed by a brokerage firm?

Especially all the questions that come up as errors after getting the downloads to Turbo Tax from the brokerage firms?

The brokerage firm should be providing documents that explain what is going on with your investments.  If you are having trouble understanding the documents they have provided then you should contact the brokerage firm - you are already paying them!  You should understand what they're doing with your money.
