No, that is definitely not a systemwide bug. You may need to clear the browser history - called your cache and cookies - so that TurboTax can get at the updates.

Thank you for the reply and help. The problem turned out to be a extremely slow download, for whatever reason. I have been a turbotax user for 15 years or so and I can never recall a problem with a update, they have always been somewhat quick, with the green bar showing progress as one would expect. This last update turned out to be downloading so slow that it took about 8 minutes for any green to show up on the progress bar (so I had no idea it was actually downloading) and the full update (which the progress bar said was a 2 minute download) took about 2 hours. The problem MIGHT be on my end but I have experienced no slowdowns or other evidence via other downloads and app and program use to indicate a problem on my end. I had cleaned out my catch and cookies prior to posting the question... that is why I needed to know if it might be a turbotax problem so I might address the problem on my end. So I decided to just let it sit and see what might happen... thus I learned of the 8 minute wait for the first sign that the download was active. In any case, I now have my update but the question remains why was the download so, so slow. But I thank you for your reply and do appreciate it.
