For tax forms I have to fill out, that available to e-file, I can do it on turbotax, right? One says 01/18/2018 and the other says ready soon. I get both today correct?

Hopefully yes. The program updates regularly, so it may not have caught up yet.

The IRS will not begin accepting tax returns until 1/29/18.  You can still prepare your return in TurboTax now, but you will not be able to file it until the IRS begins accepting them (it will remain securely on our server until then).

The IRS also does not have all of the forms finalized and ready for filing yet.  Please read the TurboTax FAQ below for IRS Forms Availability Table for TurboTax Individual (Personal) Tax Products.

Similarly, you may have state forms that have not been finalized.  Please see the TurboTax FAQ for state form availability table.

Please note that the estimated 21-day period to receive a refund is calculated from the date that the e-file is successfully submitted to the IRS – and not necessarily from the date the customer submits their return in TurboTax

The IRS will hold all 2017 tax returns that have a tax refund which includes EIC and/or the Additional Child Tax Credit until mid-February.  They will release the tax refunds in late February if there are no errors on the tax return.

Note: The IRS starts processing stockpiled returns on January 29, 2018. A few returns will be processed up to a week before this date for testing purposes.  If your return is among those that the IRS processes early as part of its testing, your tax refund (if any) won't be processed until after January 29.

Try later the day isn't over yet.  And there's really no hurry.  Even though you can submit your efile to Turbo Tax they will just hold them until the IRS opens on Jan 29.    See       <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/2018-tax-filing-season-begins-jan-29-tax-returns-due-april-17-help-avai...>

Are all your forms suppose to be Ready today?

The IRS waited to see what was in the Tax Reform bill that passed in late December.
