For desktop, we can have 5 returns. How do I put each return on a different laptop, each with its own email?

That was NOT the question. The question was how one account with one email is supposed to work on separate laptops for up to the five allowed users.  The Intuit ID is inadequate when different users have different emails, which, of course, everyone does.

They can all (each family/friend TurboTax user) create their own TurboTax accounts using their own email addresses.   One email address per TurboTax account.     You can install the desktop software 5 times, on 5 different laptops, but you can prepare as many returns as you need to.   Each tax return can use a different email address and the tax returns are only saved to your own computer, not in the cloud or on TurboTax servers.   See the Common Questions section in this help article >> How do I get started with TurboTax Desktop?
