For 3rd stimulus payments, IRS is still showing old bank account info from 2nd stimulus payments after TurboTax users changed this info through the TurboTax portal? Why?

The IRS has probably not had time to update your bank information yet since your 2020 tax return was only filed recently.

I thought that when TurboTax users with invalid or closed bank accounts had the chance to change their bank account information through the TurboTax portal when the second stimulus payments went out, then that same bank information would be given to the IRS this time around?  If this is not correct, then it appears that I will be prepared for another long delay in receiving the third stimulus payment.  This is very frustrating!
