Will adjust 2017 withholding to stay under 1000 owed or less for 2017. Thanks

Yes, those quarterly payments are optional. They are to be used in case you do not think you will meet the withholding requirements next year.

As long as you adjust your 2017 withholdings, you will not need to submit those estimated payments unless your income increases more than you anticipate.
