For 2016 I used TurboTax Self-employed. I work full-time , and have a side business. Is this the one I should have used? Need to know for next year?

Does it make a difference tax-wise, if I use Self-employed or Home & Business version?

TurboTax Self-Employed (online) and TurboTax Home & Business (CD/downloaded) are equivalent to one another.  The difference is the format -- online versus CD/downloaded.

If you prefer the online program, then choosing the Self-Employed version was correct for your situation.
