Fixed asset additions not transferring to balance sheet via worksheet

I don't know if something changed this year, but for some reason when I add new fixed assets via the 8825 "Depreciation QuickZoom Smart Worksheet", they don't transfer to the "Accumulated Depreciation, Amortization and Depletion Worksheet", and hence the balance sheet (with appropriate box checked).

 

The depreciation expense for the new asset transfers to this worksheet (and balance sheet), but not the asset itself. Does this have to manually input now? Never had this issue in prior years.

You might want to contact Support for balance sheet issues.

Turbotax business has this glitch and I believe they need to fix it.  New assets that are added to rental property are not being transferred to the balance sheet.   When will this be fixed?  We should be able to expect that the product works and it does not.  Tracking this issue down has cost me some serious time.

We are not able to reproduce this experience but are willing to research this further if you can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information. 

 

  1. Open your return and go to Online in the top menu, then choose "Send Tax File to Agent."
  2. You will see a message explaining what the diagnostic copy is.  Click okay through this screen and then you will get a Token number. 
  3. Reply to this thread with your Token number and tag (@) the Expert who requested it. This will allow us to open a copy of your return without seeing any personal information.

 

We will attempt to determine the cause of your experience and possibly provide you with a resolution.
