First time switching from Windows software to online filing. Trying to upload PDF scanned K-1 Form 1065 and it just errors and says to try again. I've tried 5 times

First time switching from Windows software to online filing. Trying to upload PDF scanned K-1 Form 1065 and it just errors and says to try again. I've tried 5 times, with multiple docs, as well as with JPG version of doc. All error out in the same way. My first experience with online filing is, well... disheartening. Any suggestions on how to move forward?

Try closing TurboTax, clearing your cache and deleting your cookies. Review the TurboTax Help article How to clear your cache and How do I delete cookies? for specific instructions for your browser. Also, reboot your computer. Then try uploading again.

You can only import a K-1 to the Windows Desktop CD/Download Software, not to Online version and if you can get a .txf file for it and in the right format.   Apparently you can only import K-1s for MLPs and not Trusts or Estates.   You can not import a K-1 from Turbo Tax Business Program.

 

To enter a K-1 go to

Federal 

Wages and Income

Then scroll way down to Business items

Schedules K-1, Q - Click the Start or Update button

 

Be sure to pick the right kind of K-1. There are 3 kinds, 1041, 1065 & 1120S

@SharonD007 Is this a canned response because "clear your cache and reboot" is first line tech support anytime a browser is mentioned or are you indicating that I can indeed upload these files to the online TT tool, but that you suspect there is a browser cache problem preventing me from doing so? 

 

Note: I didn't go over troubleshooting 101 in my original post, but figured my detailed steps would infer I did the basics. Yes, my browser cache was cleared. Yes, I rebooted (actually, I spun up a brand new never used VM with a brand new never used browser to start, so neither would have had any lingering issues).
