It is not clear what happened --- but .... did you try to e-file on the filing deadline of April 15 and was the return rejected? If so, you had five days to re-file it and still be considered "timely"---not 14 days. If you owed tax due and did not pay it by the deadline, that is why you are being charged for late filing and/or interest on the amount you owed.
