If I don’t have my child’s social security card/don’t know the number due to mailing sending it back & is currently waiting. I also don’t want to miss the deadline to file my taxes. Should I just go ahead and file my taxes and would it hurt in anyway if I don’t add my child? I don’t want to wait any longer and I’m not sure how long it’ll be till I receive the card.

Why do you not have your child's social security number?  Is it because they were just born in 2024?  Are they not a US Resident?

You can file an extension if you are expecting to get their number soon.  This will give you until October 15th to file your return.
