Filling out Depreciation in Schedule E after completing form 4562, but form 4562 is not being generated. What has changed?

You must have entered depreciable assets (e.g., vehicles, equipment, buildings) during the business, rental, or farm sections. It is found in the Forms mode (Desktop) or within the Print/Download PDF option (Online). Form 4562 only generates if you added new assets this year, reported listed property, or amortized costs. 

For TurboTax Online:

1. Sign in and open your return
2. Select Tax Tools in the left menu, then Print Center
3. Choose Include all worksheets or Complete return to view download the PDF
4. Search for 4562

For TurboTax Desktop/Download:

1. Switch to Forms mode by clicking the Forms icon in the top right
2. Select Form 4562 from the list on the left.
