Filing State Return from an Upload of my Federal Return

Hello,

I completed my federal return already (not on turbotax), but was unable to complete my state taxes due to a software glitch. My 1040 has been accepted by the IRS. I would like to prepare my state taxes using turbotax. Is it possibly to complete my state taxes on  turbotax from an upload of my federal return or would I have to manually enter in all information?

You would need to manually enter all of your federal return information to make sure it matches what was originally filed before starting your state return. Your state return would have to be printed, signed, and mailed. You will not be able to e-file the return since your federal was not originally filed with TurboTax.
