Filing an extension for 2025 federal taxes.

I'm trying to file for an extension for my 2025 federal taxes.  Following the prompts I get a screen that says: It's time to sign and transmit your 2025 returns. And a button to "Transmit my returns now".  The thing is, I'm filing an Extension, and not wanting to transmit my returns. Is that screen correct? It is very confusing.

Yes it is correct. It is referring to the Extension, Form 4868 as a return.  You can choose transmit and only the extension will be filed at this time.

Unfortunately, it does not say that on the screen. That's pretty stupid.

I hope turbotax do a better job or I will seriously switch to another tax software.
