Federal return e-filed. But TurboTax won't file state return. Why?

Has it been rejected for efile or just not filed? For which state?

NY. No other state needs filing. Federal e file accepted. TurboTax not willing to e file the NY return.

With an outdated computer system that is about to be upgraded and the new requirement to provide a driver's license, many, many taxpayers have been unable to efile New York state tax returns.

Although the state mandates efile, there is also exception for taxpayer like yourself for whom the software doesn't support efile. Again, this has become very common this tax season.
