Federal and State Estimate Taxes Paid

Hi. I paid both federal and state estimated taxes in 2025 just for the purpose of that year.  I triple checked the amounts, and they are correct.  Why does TurboTax keep asking me to review (1 min) where there is nothing to review for any correction other than the different dates of payments made (i.e., April 17, June 15, Sep 15, Dec 31)?  Should I just ignore the review warning and proceed?

Federal and State Estimate Taxes Paid

Did you enter the information for the different dates or did you just enter a lump sum for estimated payments?  I'm making the assumption you did not make separate entries for each of the scheduled due dates.  The numbers don't need to be exact, but the IRS does require entries in those fields to calculate whether you underpaid taxes during a certain quarter.  That's how the software determines whether you owe a penalty.  I hope I'm not underestimating your intelligence and if so, I apologize.  You may also be prompted to enter your estimated wages for each quarter as well.  The two go hand in hand to determine if the correct amount of taxes were paid for each quarter.  Hope this helps.

Federal and State Estimate Taxes Paid

It depends. The last payment date is January, however you can enter the exact date you made the payment. Your question indicates you made the payment on December 31, 2025. If you have entered all the estimated payments and the date they were paid you should be able to move forward without concern. Also be sure to you are selecting Federal, and after completing that section, select State estimated taxes for 2025 to enter your state estimated payments. The link below is posted for your convenience and review.

Please update if you have additional details or questions and we will help you.
