Filed 1040 early this am. Using 2025 desktop deluxe version 025.000.0235.
I have 5 1099R, 4 were used last year and imported into 2025, 1 was manually entered as no import available.
After receiving reject notice I:
a) confirmed all TIN's were correct, based on mailed1099R copy from payer.
I deleted all the TIN, and freshly entered the TIN again, thinkng maybe extra space, formatting issue, etc.
REsubmitted return. Half hour later rejected again for same reason (note they don't tell you WHICH form doesn't match database.) Reviewed troubleshooting, it said if all else fails, delete all the forms and re-enter fresh, so I did that, deleted all 5 records. Saved file. Added manually 5 new records, making sure the PAYER name matched form exactly, and TIN/EIN was perfect.
Saved return.
Resubmitted, rejected within an hour, same error. Payer federal d number doesn't match fed database.
I have no idea what TT transmits, so don't know if its on that end, I have no idea what is in the Federal database. I have no idea where to go to try to verify or match the numbers.
All I know is I bought a product that a) wasnt ready (form 5695 anyone??) and now that the form is ready I'm getting an error on my submitted return.
Turbotax staff, how do I report a bug? Email says fix is easy, just use the fix my return button, which doesn't do anything.
Help please, have a refund, and don't want to submit a hard copy, when I paid for the service here. I printed out complete return for my records, 159 pages!!!

Try contacting the issuer of the new 1099-R and have them verify their information. Have them confirm the TIN and the name registered to that TIN with the IRS.
Thanks Dawn, that will be my attempt tomorrow. Govt agency, Pension Benefit Center......
I envision long hold times.
An update as of 2/4/26 evenng.
Pulled up 2024 TurboTax file, to compare my 4 previous 1099R, that were also repeat payers this year, 2025.
I found what looks like a typo from one of my IRA Trustees.
For the past 5 years their TIN has ended in xxxxx107. (2020 - 2024)
This year their TIN ends in xxxx108.
I've reached out to them to verify error on their end, and requested an amended 1099R. Or update records with IRS if that is the correct TIN.
Will update again when I have more info.
Issue Resolved
IRA Trustee confirmed mistake by their 3rd party vendor issuing 1099 with typo. They will be issuing amended 1099R forms.
Made changes in TT, resubmitted 1040 to IRS, and return has been accepted.
Thanks
