I am an F1 visa since 2016. I pay the credential program $ 1500 but my school tells me they don't have 1098-T. Can I claim this education fee?

@qqww For clarification - did the school say why they don't provide a tuition form? Do you have a receipt showing that you paid tuition in 2021?
They provide a tuition receipt for me. The receipt show at September 2021.
My school reply
"Educational institutions that participate in the Department of Education’s student aid programs can issue Form 1098-T, including colleges, universities, vocational schools, and other eligible post-secondary education institutions.
we are not Title IV institution, and at this time do not participate in the student aid programs run by the U.S. Department of Education. Thus, we cannot issue form 1098-T to our students.
We can provide you with your Transaction Ledger which contains your payment records including payments received, amounts billed or refunds made for tuition and related expenses for each program that you studied during 2021.
"
No you will not be able to claim an educational credit because it is not an eligible educational institute. To be eligible, it must be able to participate in a student aid program run by the U.S. Department of Education.
