Hi Experts,
I had two employers last year. Because of which I had more than expected social security tax withheld.
When I was filing tax return through turbo tax, turbo tax mentioned I have excess social security .
After I filled all my details, I see that I need to pay tax due. This tax due was calculated after deducting the excess social security I already paid and other federal taxes already deducted before.
Is this correct?
Do I need to file form 843 to claim my excess social security or is it already been taken care by turbo tax because of tax due on my return?
Can you please confirm?
Thanks,
