EV Tax Credit Question

No one seems to be able to answer this question, so I hope you are able to assist. I bought my Plug-In Hybrid January 2022 and am looking to go all electric. Is there a length of time that you must own the vehicle in order to keep the tax credit? I was once told that if you don't own the vehicle for at least (3) years, you risk the chance of the credit being forfeited. Please advise, thanks.
