Entering 1099 and W-2. Only did contract work for 3 months and have few if any deductions. Do I still need to get the self-employed version of Turbotax?

No, you can use TurboTax Deluxe to prepare your tax return based on the information in your question.  Turbotax Deluxe will allow you to enter your 1099 and W-2.  You will report your income and expenses for your contracting work on Schedule C.
