Entered the document number from NY drivers license correctly but TT is giving error "The document number's first 3 characters must be entered". How to get past this?

I tried replacing an "I" with a "1" and a "0" with an "O" and it did not help. It appears TT wants me to enter more characters, but i don't have any from my drivers license to add

Only enter the first 3 characters.

Check the pictures provided by NY to ensure you are using the right number. (It's not the DMV-ID number)

Thanks all... this is solved.... it was me entering the full number as opposed to the first 3... that resolved it. Thanks all
