Employee ssn does not match taxpayers ssn but eveything does match up

To verify your social security number in TurboTax is correct, while you are in your Tax Home,

1. select Personal Info,
2. Scroll down until you see your name, 
3. Select Edit,
4. Correct your Social Security Number on this screen.

Your answer does not help at all. The information DOES MATCH the taxpayer SSN-- yet I get this error. Is this a system issue?

It appears that you may be getting this error related to information reported on a W-2. Review the information entered for your W-2's.

• From the Federal menu in TurboTax Online, click Wages & Income
• Expand the menu for Wages and Salaries
• Click Start/Revisit next to Wages and Salaries (W-2)
• Click Edit next to each W-2 and verify the information entered

The answer is: make sure that the SPOUSE box is checked.
