I have updated to the latest Turbo Tax release for Home and Business. When I try to e-File my 2024 Federal and State returns, I receive a Transmission Error that states that there is an uninstalled update. I am instructed to download the latest version, which I already have.

You may need to do a manual update.
Exited completely out of TurboTax and restarted the app. This time there was an update, and I am now able to transmit my returns. Thanks.
Nope - didn't work for me. They must hire new tech support for phones each season. None of them knew about this problem. It still exists in March 2025
If you have done a Manual Update and still get a transmission error, here's How to Turn Off Anti-Virus Programs, which may resolve your issue.
Be sure TurboTax is installed on your C drive and you're in Administrator mode.
Here's more tips on Troubleshooting TurboTax Desktop Issues.
I always run Turbotax in admin mode and I also let it default install onto c: - although none of the 4 tekkies that I spoke with told me too. It's worth a try, but, in this case didn't work. A clean install on a different, hardware identical laptop was the only solution that I found to submit the 2nd state - that was after manual patch, windows update, uninstall/reinstall of TTHB24, a couple dozen trips to the TT update icon only to have no updates needed, blah, blah, blah.
I'm lucky, I had an extra PC laying around and it was faster to reinstall and move the .tax file than wait for the tekkie from TT to get back on the phone. Clearly this is buggy code that apparently doesn't like to share a PC with any other programs. Only a clean install on a freshly prepped laptop worked.
