During "Smart Check" it asks to fix error from "Form 1099 B (Morgan Stanley ..) Employer Stock Worksheet: line 25 . Column (b) should be entered"

I've imported form 1099 b from Morgan Stanley, it required review. I went over all RSU sales and entered missing information: Quality (box 1a) as number of shares sold, Cost or other basis (box 1e). On "Enter vesting or release) information" i only entered "Date vested/released" same as acquired.

Now, when i'm going thru wizard to file taxes, SmartCheck step blocks me with

"Form 1099 B (Morgan Staley ..) -- Capital Sales Wkst -- (1) -- Capital gain (ls) adjustments/other info (x.xxxsh company-name). Employer Stock Worksheet: line 25 . Column (b) should be entered".

At this point i'm stuck, i do not know where to get this value. Looking in 1099 B pdf i do not see any mention of line 25.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, so i figured it out (wish TT desktop would not be confusing here). The error comes from fact that i didn't enter all RSU vested info (as i mentioned). The way I figured it out is by going to "forms" mode and checking line 25 for specific RSU, description of that table suggests that this is a RSU vest information.

I had the same issue, but got past it. The 25B field is asking for number of shares sold by that transaction. (noted on the form on turbo tax) I cross referenced from my gains/losses in my stock account to get this info as no 1099b was generated for RSU stuff. This and vests FMV was an interesting hurdle Hope that is helpful, good luck.
