Hi there, I used TurboTax Freedom last year to submit my taxes and am using the same this year. I logged in and it imported my 2019 banks info and prompted me asking if I had the same this year. But it doesn't seem to have imported the refund I received in 2020 for my 2019 taxes. It asks for 1099-G, "Did you Get a State Or Local Tax Refun din 2020". When I choose yes, it asks me to enter the "Total Refund received in 2020". Should I enter the sum of refunds I received for "State + Federal"? Why did it not automatically import refunds from last year? Am I missing something in my understanding? Thank you.

The 1099-G is the amount of state income tax refund that you received from your state in 2019.
If you itemized deductions in 2019, that amount is taxable. Just inter the amount from the 1099-G into TurboTax under
Federal
Income and Expense
Refunds Received for State/Local Tax Returns
The 1099-G is sent from your state.
