Doesn't matter anymore if it was approved or not.  Just file your return as soon as you can.  You can efile until Oct 15.  If you are getting a refund there is no penalty for filing late.  If you have a tax due the payment was due by April 15 so pay fast.

Did you make a payment with the extension?  Did it get paid from your bank account or credit card?
