Does the custodial parent have to fill out form 8332 if claiming children?

I have filed my taxes for 2016 as the Head of Household as I qualify for this status. I have claimed all three of my children on my taxes per our divorce decree. Do I have to fill out and mail in a form 8332 or is that only for if I am giving permission to my ex to claim them? Do I need to provide a copy of our consent decree to prove I am legally able to claim them? It seems as if the form is only if the non-custodial parent if claiming the children in a tax year.

A custodial parent does not have to file a Form 8332 with their return.

Do NOT include a copy of your divorce decree with your return.
