Does my 2017 Turbo Tax return carry over to 2018 Turbo Tax automatically?

I filed my 2016 electronically via Turbo Tax.  It does not appear that all info was carried forward to the 2017 Turbo Tax forms.

This year's tax return will be called the 2017 tax return.  You will transfer your 2016 return to the 2017 return.

If you have a copy of your 2016 Online return in .tax2016 data file format, just follow the first set of instructions above.

If you don't, use this workaround:

1. Go to TurboTax and start a 2017 Online return using the same login you used last year. This will transfer your 2016 data over.
2. After the screen has loaded, select the TaxTools drop-down menu in the left-hand column, and then select Tools.
3. In the pop-up window, select the Save your return to your computer.

Now, open the .tax2017 file (which contains the transferred 2016 info) in TurboTax for Mac:

1. Open your TurboTax 2017 program.
2. From the TurboTax menu under File, select Open Tax Return.
3. Browse to where you saved the .tax2017 file and Open it.
4. (Optional) Review, edit, or delete the transferred information.
