Does easy extension file a California State Extension too?

This is not made clear one way or the other.  Any help would be much appreciated before I pay my estimated state tax outside of Turbo Tax.

No.  EasyExtension only handles the federal extension.

However, California automatically grants a 6-month extension to October 16, 2017. You do not need to fill out an extension form.

However, if you owe additional California taxes, you'll need to submit payment by April 18, 2017 to avoid penalties. The California Franchise Tax Board offers these options:

• Print and mail California Form FTB 3519 along with your check payment; or
• Submit your payment online at the California Franchise Tax Board's Web Pay site; or
• Pay by credit card.
