Does anyone else keep getting emails from TurboTax wanting them to finish their returns online after their taxes have already been filed?

Does anyone else keep getting emails from TurboTax wanting them to finish their returns online after their taxes have already been filed?

Many TurboTax e-mails are automated and the timing of when they are sent/received may be inaccurate. Furthermore, if you used the TurboTax CD/Download product to file your tax return(s) but also have a TurboTax Online account, TurboTax may not realize you already filed your tax return(s) especially if you have more than one TurboTax Online account.

Many users have more than one account and don't even know it. Several users also don't realize they are using a different account each year. TurboTax Online accounts are differentiated by user ID and e-mail address. Please review the following link to verify how many accounts you have and note Step 4 "Repeat these steps for any other email addresses you may have (or have had).": How many TurboTax accounts do I have?

In any case, you may verify e-file status and track the status of refund(s) using the following link: Refund Status Support.

If you used the TurboTax CD/Download product, you may also verify e-file status using the following instructions:

  1. First, open your return.
  2. Then, from File menu in TurboTax, select Check E-file Status.
