No, you do not get charged to file until you actually file.

However, if you have income from self-employment and are required to file a tax return or no other income with income of more than $400 from self-employment the IRS does require that you include it in your income.  It is not optional to claim it.

No, you do not get charged to file until you actually file.

However, if you have income from self-employment and are required to file a tax return or no other income with income of more than $400 from self-employment the IRS does require that you include it in your income.  It is not optional to claim it.

Thanks for the quick response. It's a strange situation because the income is through paypal and they don't report below $25,000 so I'm trying to navigate it (It's less than $2,000 worth of income from dog sitting). I appreciate the help.
