Do I still have to pay the fee of turbo tax summiting even though after filing the irs site said that turbo tax is free for my submittal?

I'm sorry, but once you've made payment for your TurboTax program and e-filed your return, a refund is not available.

I hate to say it but I'm sure that part was taken out of the computer programming of this program for this example exactly.  Thank you for your anwser. Could you recommend to our goverment that they get enough money from us they they have no need to screw over the middle and lower income people more.have a great day. It bothers me that the final tax review part wouldn't pick up at that discount at the end. Since it is a deduction checker.

@mickyhilton I'm so sorry you've encountered this.  I'd recommend that taxpayers always check to see if Free File is an option for them before using any commercial tax software.  There are income limitations, as you well know.  TurboTax offers a connection with the IRS Free File program, but doesn't "steer" users there.    

I'm not a TurboTax employee; I'm a user like you.  I would imagine that many taxpayers don't realize they can use the IRS website and file for free.  The info below (a TurboTax FAQ) will explain the Free File requirements.
