Do I qualify for the Oregon Exemption for permanent disability if I have PTSD and a require a service dog?

I have legal documentation from my doctor that says I was diagnosed with PTSD and require a service dog to help me function. My disability has made it very difficult to work and manage my daily life and tasks.

There is no permanent disability credit on a federal return.  Are you asking about a state credit?  What state?

I meant the ‘Exemption for a Permanent Disability’ and it’s under state taxes for Oregon. I appreciate the quick reply. Thank you.

@GiselleWasHere I am not familiar with Oregon tax laws.   But if you edit your original post above to mention Oregon it will have a better chance of catching the attention of someone who knows about that credit in your state.  You can edit the post by clicking the three little blue dots on the upper right.
