how do I put in my Premium Tax Credit

The Premium Tax Credit does not get entered directly into the program. You have to enter the pertinent information from your 1095-A Form. This Form is issued from the Marketplace Health Insurance. 

Based on your income and other criteria, the software will determine if you are getting the Premium Tax Credit or if you have an excess advance PTC that needs to be repaid.

In TurboTax, you can enter your form 1095-A following these steps: 

• Go to your account in TurboTax, open your tax return.
• Click on Federal in the left hand column, then go on Deductions & Credits on the top of the screen.
• Scroll down to All Tax breaks, locate the section Medical and click on Show more
• Click Start next to Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A).

As a second option you can click the magnifying glass icon in the top right, type "1095-a", and select the "Jump to" link.
