No one in this user forum can see your tax returns or your information. We do not know if you owe the state of IL. TurboTax never knows if you paid your tax due. Only your own bank records or credit card records will show that you paid. And...a state tax due can NEVER be paid from a federal refund.

No one here can answer that without knowing where you lived and worked in 2021, and without knowing how you filed your 2021 taxes. And no one here can see your actual tax returns. You need to ask more specific questions.
