Do I Need to upgrade to TurboTax business. I Filed with Turbotax self employed and couldn't issue myself a k1. if I do upgrade, will it transfer my data?

It's not an upgrade, it's a different program. If you have an S-Corporation or Partnership that issues you a K-1 form, you'll need to purchase TurboTax Business. It's only available as a CD/Download.

TurboTax Business does not handle personal returns. After you prepare your business return, you'll need either an online or a CD/Download Product to prepare your Form 1040. You'll need to enter your K-1 manually.
