If you have self-employment income reported on a 1099NEC then you need to use online Self-Employed or any version of the CD/download so that you can prepare a Schedule C for your business expenses.

Yes. You can only enter 1099NEC or self employment income in Online Premier or Deluxe. To enter expenses you need the new Premium version or the self employed version (or any of the CD/Download Desktop programs).
