Yes, assuming you are electronically filing Form 1065 using TurboTax Business.

I signed and attached the 8453-pe form and then e-filed. But now when I go back and try to view the attached form, Turbotax says it cannot find the file. Is there any other way to view the form that was sent so I can make sure that they actually sent in the signed copy and not just a blank one? It just makes me a little nervous since it can't find the signed form all of a sudden

The actual signed form would be in the file you saved somewhere on your computer; it is not saved by TurboTax in the PDF or *.tax2018 files that were generated when you prepared your return.

If you look in the Forms list (in Forms Mode), you will only see a blank 8453-PE; the one that you signed, date, scanned, saved to your computer and uploaded is the file that was transmitted with your return.

I believe the problem is that quite a few users either do not save the scanned file in the same (TurboTax) folder and it winds up being lost or the file actually winds up in some temp folder and gets deleted.

Yea I moved the signed PDF to a different folder at some point after uploading it into Turbotax.

I guess I just want to make sure that it was able to find the file during the e-file process (i.e. I didn't move it before e-filing causing it to send an un-signed version of the form). Is there any way to verify this (that the signed version of the form was actually sent)? Thank you for the help.

I actually do not know of any way to verify the form was, in fact, transmitted with the other forms in the return. I believe, however, that provided you uploaded the form you scanned, the TurboTax program would have transmitted that form without question.

I suspect this issue is mostly academic since an e-filed 1065 without a properly completed 8453-PE would either be rejected outright or be met with a request that a properly completed form be submitted.
