I am planning to donate a large sum of my securities in 2026 for a particular project. As the total amount is beyond what I can deduct in next 5 years, do I need to enter all of these donation items or just enter that is sufficient for take all possible itemized deductions?
Another related question. If it becomes necessary, can I enter the 2026 donation that I didn't enter in 2026 tax return in the later years' tax returns within the 5-year carry-over period?
Thanks!

Yes, you would need to enter all of the donations made in 2025 on the 2025 return to make use of the 5-year carryover period. If you determine that you have more than you would use in 5 years, then you could opt not to enter the excess donations.
If you anticipate making another large donation in the future, it may be easier to make donations annually.
See this tax tips article for more information about charitable contribution deductions.
See this help article if you need to enter carryover donations from a previous year when you didn't use TurboTax.
