Do I have to use the quarterly payments computed by TurboTax for my 2018 taxes or can I use a lower amount based on recent experience?

I made the quarterly payments computed by TurboTax during 2017 and overpaid my taxes by almost one quarterly payment.  Based on this experience, I believe the 2018 quarterly payments laid out by TurboTax will make me over pay again.

You do not have to use the amounts generated by TurboTax if you don't believe that they represent your 2018 tax liability.

You may disregard them and create new vouchers in the 1040-es section, or make your payments directly on the IRS website.
