Do I have to sign and mail in a state tax paper return after i e-filed?

Generally no. Once you e-file your federal and state you are all set. Turbo Tax will send you an email to let you know once your returns have been accepted. If for some reason your state return is rejected, it will provide a reason and how to fix it. The program will let you know if you need to mail it in.
