What do you mean by net income? SE? Sale of Stock?

It appears that you are using the version of TurboTax for Self-Employed filers. So I'm assuming you have your own business, or at the very least have some income reported to you on a 1099-MISC. If that is the case, you may very well owe "self-employment taxes" (medicare and social security), even if you're income is low and won't owe "income taxes"
